Bewilderments of the Eyes - Director & Choreographer
Bewilderments of the Eyes is a short series of live performances based on themes found in The Republic of Plato. The project focused on the application of communication theory through performance, while reflecting on awareness and the construction of social identities. Research for the project explored techniques and activities to be implemented in rehearsals and performances held throughout the 4 month exploration.

A closer look at our second performance "Untitled":
Judith Butler in Violence, Mourning, Politics discusses how loss exposes “fundamental human ties” (Butler 9). Rita Lasar then brings Butler’s concepts to a national level when she writes “To Avoid Another September 11, U.S. Must Join the World”. Both demonstrate how we are collectively vulnerable and dependent. Our connections are so intrinsic to our existence that we are partially defined by them, “part of what I am is the enigmatic traces of others” (Butler 32). "Untitled" is a pursuit of those traces. A closer look at our final performance "Bewilderments":
"Bewilderments" was the culminating performance of the series. This clip was filmed during one of our final technical rehearsals to serve as a recap of the project as well as its conclusion. |

Nature Up North - Communications Intern
|
Nature Up North is, "is a community-based organization based at St. Lawrence University whose mission is to foster a deeper sense of appreciation for, and connection to, the North Country environment." Working with Nature Up North I developed web content and communication strategies to increase engagement. A primary goal of my tenure was to create a "What is Nature Up North?" video to present the organization and encourage viewers to get involved. Above are three images from e-newsletters and blog posts that I created and to the left is the final video clip.
